Average hours/week per listener for Cambridgeshire now down to 6 hours.
Mines probably less than that now. Mostly radio 2 breakfast time, just depends where I am during the day as to what I listen to.

I agree Richard Spendlove wouldn't want the afternoon.
Seems the Breakfast dream team is being retweeted by Dotty McLeod

Well if that's a dream I'll glad it's not mine

BBC Local Radio Board / BBC Cambridgeshire Goodbye Cambridgeshire Breakfast Show
« on: August 31, 2014, 10:07:43 AM »
With the retirement of Andy Harper and the move of Paul Stainton to the mid-morning show I waited to hear who would take over the breakfast show. I thought it might be one of their newer presenters or someone completely new. Over the last couple of week while Paul Stainton took a holiday before his new show I been listening to someone who has covered for him before. But has the fortnight drew to an end no statement was announced. Then on Thursday the presenter said only two more day before she can call the breakfast show hers. No.
The breakfast show need someone with a fast quick fun character to get people up and go in the morning.
Sorry Dotty McCleod if this is you it doesnít come over on the radio. I have heard hospital radio jocks do better.
So after listening to BBC Cambridgeshire over many years looks like Iíll be moving to one of the commercial ones.

On Radio Cambridgeshire it is broadcasted  on 2 wave length one for the south area one for north  and on Saturday afternoon the only choice you have is Cambridge United or Peterborough United. And driving home in the evening from 6-7 is more sport.
We don't all like sport and I'm male

At least on 3CR there is the JVS show you get that consumer bit in the last hour which I have all ways found good. They used to do something similar on Cambridge, but it was just dropped a few years ago.
It seems they are getting rid of the programs with big following and has the presenters contracts end not renewing them. Give it a few years and it will end up like it is in the evening one program covering all the local station. How is that Local Radio. It's getting more and more like Heart

And another thing, does anyone find Johnny Dee funny ?

BBC Local Radio Board / BBC Cambridgeshire Same program all morning

Is it just me or does anyone else think that over the last few month the 2 morning programs just seem like the same one with different presenters. Don't get me wrong I like both Paul Stainton  and Andy Harper. But since the end of the separate breakfast shows, it seem that the same things are repeated for six hours. I used to listen to it all day, but now find I jump around to other stations. Maybe I'm just getting old.
