Less negative isn't an aim at all, IMHO.  If you listen to Kate Tempest "half a generation lives beneath the breadline", then how can you be less negative?

More empowering, that's a different thing entirely. More insightful. More educating.

This is how the news should be, if you ask me.

I'm a bit amazed that this topic hasn't been considered just a nice topic to talk about. Leaving the survey and research aside completely. This is an interesting subject.

Generally, I'm a fan of Guardian-profile news. Insightful, taking a stand, but in line with academic methodology, showing the perspective, avoiding tacit assumptions.

Surely it's better if you have fans already, who'd support you, just by sharing the news. Sometimes I look at bandcamp, seeing how many ppl support really good projects that I know for a fact that a lot of people do appreciate. Not many. It's really a work with the masses...
