Jeremy Thorpe - The Silent Conspiracy

Aye, Mr Rosenbaum, Freedom of Interest Specialist, BBC News Correspondent, is more than a radio producer.

This was a well made enlightening programme. For those of us who were around in the 1970s, it will have added much to the story we knew. I've read a number of books on the matter but feel it was summed up by Peter Coook in this video:

(There is another youtube clip which gives some background to the Cook performance).

Anyway, the BBC Radio 4 item was good enough for me to listen to twice.

It's a funny old world innit.

Hi Albert, yes I also listened to this twice, by accident.

I have to say it was facinating.

I think that Cook summed up the mood at the time v well in the clip.

It certainly is a funny old world!
