Yes, let us be sensible shall we?

We live in an age where interviews do not have to be "down the line"Broadcasting should be moving forward not backwards. The value of a significant public figure in the actual studio, should not be underestimated. And 5 Live and Breakfast need to be at the hub, in terms of immediacy and value.

AND at the end of the day(something that you have struggled to address at all, Mutt)is the value here to the licence fee payer. The cost of Salford, the previous massive cost of the revamp of BH..for what gain to broadcasting? The BBC sofa and 5 Live may look and sound a bit the same..but the guests are elsewhere(Peter Preston makes that point in the Observer, a liberal point of view that would be concerned with the political correctness of Salford)

AS I have said before we might go along with this, if it had not cost soooo much money, at a time when the BBC is saying that it has no money and wants to cut essential services. It will not wash.

AND I am completely confused by your points about the news the medical story was a national one and an attack on the government by The Academy of medical royal colleges.based in...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/apr/25/bbc-olympics-staff-coverage-london-2012

Well, this is no surprise..of course, the fee payer will be delighted to pay for 765 BBC staff all being put up in accomodation..and there will be their expenses..because loads of them had been forced to move to Salford of course ..just a few months ago!

And of course the tax payer is already paying for the Olympics..in so many other ways..this is just brilliant.

Any nominations for what to do with the empty white elephant called Salford during the summer should be submitted to Jeremy Hunt and Mark Thompson..it will need to be back channelled!!
