Chris Patten on "Points of View", BBC 1, Sunday 30 September
« on: September 30, 2012, 11:51:44 PM »
I didn't know that Chris Patten would be on the programme today talking about the BBC Trust.  Only found out when I "played back" a recording, and caught the last bit.  Did anyone else listen and, if so, did he have anything "interesting" to say?  Wasn't aware that this was going to happen today, or I would have made an effort to listen!

Hi Rita, sorry no I didn't catch it, I'll make an effort later in the week to dig it out on the iPlayer.

Hi Rita, managed to catch up with this and no Chris didn't have anything to say which I hadn't heard before.

I thought perhaps he was going to be on there talking about one of their latest 'consultations', the 'public purpose' one:

The BBC Trust is consulting publicly on some planned changes to what are called Purpose Remits documents that explain what the BBC needs to do to fulfil each of its public purposes.

But no, it was the usual stuff.  Must say I haven't watched Points Of View for a couple of decades, that Anne Robinson has changed.
