Richard Dimbleby Reporting From Bergen-Belsen
« on: November 20, 2013, 06:22:38 PM »
Apart from thoughts on his tattoo or the BBC as aired on The Richard Bacon programme yesterday, David Dimbleby cited his fathers report from Bergen-Belsen shortly after it's liberation as one of the most important in his career.  I'd never heard it and so looked it up, here it is in two parts taken from Youtube.  The BBC only broadcast the piece after Richard Dimbleby threatened to resign, those back in London initially refused to play the report, as they could not believe the scenes he had described.

There is a BBC page dedicated to it but it doesn't allow you to share the audio http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/holocaust/5115.shtml
